While my signature style leans into soft, painterly designs, I’ve also enjoyed creating and adapting to different aesthetics to suit your brand’s unique vision. A non-exclusive license is when you can choose a specific design from either my portfolio or social media that can be manufactured by the printer or company of your choice. Also requesting a custom design for a fee depending on the intricacy of the work needed. These designs may also be licensed to other parties and will remain on sites where my work is currently sold (POD sites). Bluedahlia retains the copyright of all designs.
What is a non-exclusive license?
NON-EXCLUSIVE
An exclusive license is when both parties are agreed upon and negotiated on regarding a specific design or piece of artwork. Either an existing design in my portfolio that has not yet been offered to the public, or a custom design created just for you. As the designer, I retain the rights to use the design for other purposes not specified in our agreement. For example, if your license is for a design regarding baby clothing, I retain the rights to license the design in a different industry such as paper goods, shoes, wallpaper, etc. Depending on our agreement, some exclusive designs will be used solely for your company alone and documents are signed stating those specific designs will not be licensed out to any other parties regardless if it’s a different industry or not.
